BANGKOK – Vietjet Thailand continues to advance its sustainability mission through the 4th Fly Green FieldWork activity and the Young Ambassador initiative, with the theme “From Sea to Mountain”.

The activity provided youth environmental ambassadors, together with teachers and students from Songkhla Province, members of Vietjet FUN Rewards, and Vietjet Thailand staff with the opportunity to take part in field-based environmental learning experiences and explore the interconnectedness of diverse ecosystems at royal initiative projects under the Chaipattana Foundation in Chiang Rai Province.

Ms. Sayada Benjakul, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Vietjet Thailand, said under its Fly Green mission, it places strong emphasis on operating with social and environmental responsibility by integrating sustainability across its operations.

This includes the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), the use of advanced aviation technologies to help reduce carbon emissions, the promotion of sustainability at the organisational level, and the implementation of environmental conservation initiatives through the Fly Green Fund.

This commitment is reflected in the Young Ambassador program, which builds knowledge, awareness, and environmental responsibility among young people through experiential learning and hands-on participation in the Fly Green FieldWork, now in its fourth consecutive year, to inspire the next generation to take an active role in long-term environmental stewardship.

Vietjet Thailand brought youth from the Young Ambassador programme, together with teachers and students from Rajaprajanugroh 43 School in Songkhla, to Chiang Rai Province for immersive environmental learning activities.

The programme offered young participants from southern Thailand the opportunity to explore mountain and upstream forest ecosystems through hands-on conservation experiences held at the Prince Chakraband Pensiri Center for Plant Development and the Camellia Seed Oil and Other Plant Oil Product Research and Development Center.

Joined by Vietjet FUN Rewards members and Vietjet Thailand volunteers, the activities fostered meaningful connections between the airline, youth participants, and surrounding communities.

Throughout 2026, Vietjet Thailand plans to further expand the scope of environmental and social initiatives under the Fly Green Fund to cover a wider range of activities. This will be undertaken in parallel with the continued introduction of Green Routes, or low-carbon flights, through the deployment of Boeing 737-8 aircraft across its network.

The airline aims to increase the proportion of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) usage to no less than 5% by 2030. At the same time, Vietjet Thailand is strengthening collaboration with government agencies and environmental partners to promote green tourism, while creating opportunities for business partners, employees, and passengers to participate in social initiatives, supporting the aviation industry’s transition towards a balanced and sustainable future.
