CHIANG RAI – The Meteorological Department forecasts scattered thunderstorms for Northern Thailand, lower Central, and Eastern regions. People in these areas should be aware of the dangers of thunderstorms and take care of their health due to the rising temperatures.
This is due to a moderately high-pressure system or cold air mass from China continuing to cover the Northeast and the South China Sea, which is beginning to weaken. This results in weaker easterly and southeasterly winds covering upper Thailand.
Regarding PM2.5 air pollution, Northern Thailand currently has low to moderate levels of particulate matter or haze due to good ventilation.
