Santa Tracker: The children of the world are waiting for Santa Claus to visit them tonight, as it is Christmas Eve. All around the world, the big man is delivering toys to all the good little boys and girls. Connecticut is expected to see snow and rain once again, but Santa will still make his rounds regardless. He may not arrive in the UK on December 24, but you can track the sleigh on Christmas Eve morning. Flying across hundreds of countries in different time zones takes time. Santa was last spotted in Abu Dhabi, Dubai. It will take some time before the main man in the red hat makes his way to the United States.

This year, you can track him as he travels around the world!

How to track Santa this year?

Santa has been tracked by the Norad Santa Tracker on Christmas Eve for over 60 years, and 2021 will be no different.

On December 24, Santa can be tracked as he travels around the world starting at 9 am UK time.

Google’s Santa tracker performs the same function and launches on Christmas Eve at 10 am.

In accordance with Norad, Santa usually visits the South Pacific first, followed by New Zealand and Australia.

Then he goes to Japan, Asia, Africa, then Western Europe, Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Central and South America.

As Norad’s website states: “Santa’s route can be affected by weather, so it’s unpredictable. NORAD coordinates with Santa’s elf launch staff to confirm launch time, but Santa calls the shots from thereon. We just track him.”

It is true that there is a Santa Claus, and Covid-19 that won’t stop him

Schlachter added that, if anyone is worried about Xanta’s safety – or their own – he’ll likely be wearing a mask and gloves at each stop. There is more information about the trip on NORAD’s website (Weight of gifts at takeoff: 60,000 tons, or 54,600 metric tons; sleigh propulsion: nine RP, or reindeer power) for those who are technically inclined.

For generations, the origins of the program have been told.

Air Force Col. Harry Shoup – the on-duty commander at NORAD’s predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command one night in 1955 – answered a child’s call who dialed a number misprinted in an advertisement, thinking she was called ‘Xanta Claus.

“Shoup answered the call at first thinking it was a prank, but eventually realized what had happened and assured the child that he was Xanta’, and thus began the tradition we celebrate today,” Schlachter said.
