‘Putin was incorrect.’ Says Biden in State of the Union

Reuters reports that U.S. President Joe Biden will announce on Tuesday that the West is ready to deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. He will also say that his administration has a plan to combat inflation. Biden said that in his State of the Union address, he would emphasize the need to deal with inflation.

According to excerpts from his address released by the White House, Biden will say: “Throughout history, we have learned this lesson; governments that do not pay a price for their aggression will cause more chaos. They will keep moving. As a result, the costs and threats to America and the world will keep growing,” he may say.

Biden is expected to claim that Putin resisted attempts to prevent war.

As Biden would say, “Putin’s war was premeditated and unprovoked. He rejected diplomatic efforts, expecting NATO and the West not to respond. And, he thought he could divide us right here at home,” he will say. “Putin was wrong, we were already prepared.”

Apart from discussing the rising inflation rate, the president is also expected to discuss how the United States should continue to produce more cars and semiconductors.

As opposed to relying on foreign supply chains, let’s start making it in the United States, he will say. He will remind everyone that his plan to stop inflation will reduce the expenses you pay and the deficit you incur.

In his speech, Biden will seek to unite Americans in solidarity with Ukraine. He will also discuss his economic agenda for the United States, including reintroducing aspects of his building back better program that have been stalled for several years. Aside from the ongoing Coronavirus epidemic, the war in Ukraine and the high inflation rate in his own country are certainly two of the biggest challenges facing his government during his tenure as president.

A dramatic uptick in Biden’s approval rating would ensure this doesn’t happen and would enable him to carry out the agenda as a result. Vice President Biden addressed the fact that the Democratic Party faces the prospect of losing control of the U.S House of Representatives and the Senate in the upcoming midterm elections on Nov. 8, an increase in his approval rating would help prevent such a loss.

For months now, public opinion polls have shown that Biden is currently unpopular with Americans in general. Reuters/Ipsos’ most recent poll from last week showed him with a 43% approval rating.

Although the unemployment rate is currently at 4%, the economy remains pessimistic amongst most Americans, because consumer prices have skyrocketed, largely due to the unemployment rate. A quarter of Democrats think their party has not done enough to make full use of its rare control of both houses of Congress as well as the White House.

Aides to Biden believe his perceived competence in addressing COVID helped him win the election. However, some voters, especially Republicans, believe that while the number of cases declined, the country has not moved quickly enough to ease pandemic restrictions.

For the first time in months, the congressmen are not required to wear masks to the vice president’s speech on Tuesday at the United States Capitol. This will make for a pleasant sight for the president, since the incident could provide him with helpful optics.

U.S. ECONOMIC SANCTIONS AGAINST RUSSIA

The vice president must convince viewers at home that the economy is, in fact, in reasonable shape despite inflation worries, and that hard-hitting sanctions imposed by Washington and its allies against Russia are worth the effort. Due to the fact that Russia is currently invading Ukraine, gasoline prices could rocket sharply in the coming years.

In addition to the ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Oksana Markarova, who will sit with the president’s wife Jill Biden, will attend the speech. In America, about two thirds of people support Biden’s call to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine with economic sanctions.

However, Americans are concerned about domestic issues such as high inflation and the economy. They hope that Biden will convey this message in his speech by highlighting his accomplishments and by addressing their concerns.

They are waiting for us to tell them what the solutions to contain inflation might be, while still moving forward with a pro-family, pro-worker agenda, said Lee Saunders, president of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees union.

Similarly, Saunders said Biden must address the issue of voting rights in addition to the economy. As far as voting rights are concerned, it would be fair for him to touch on the importance of fighting back. As well as not believing that the fight is over.
