CHIANGRAI TIMES – Mekong Cruises recently finalised joined packages with Asian Oasis, effective from July, that will be launched to international buyers at Thailand Travel Mart Plus Amazing Gateway to the Greater Mekong Sub-region, 7 to 8 June, 2012, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
Mekong Cruises and Asian Oasis will offer two packages; three-night and four-night trips.
The three-day/two-night package will feature a night at Lanjia Lodge in Thailand’s Chiang Rai province with a tour of Hmong and Lahu villages; followed by a transfer to the Luang Say Cruise at Chiang Kong district to cruise down the Mekong River. The second night will be spent at Luang Say Residence, outside Luang Prabang and last day concludes with a cruise Luang Prabang.
The four-night package is almost identical, but with two nights at Luang Say Residence and one more day at leisure.
From July to August the price for two persons is US$924 for a two-night package and US$1,474 for a four-night package. The price will be reduced in September and then increase again in October.
The packages are operated upstream from Luang Prabang and downstream from Chiang Khong. Both will depart if there are four paying passengers.
Mekong Cruises also operates Vat Phou Cruise in southern Laos. Vat Pho Cruise has accommodation on board, but the company also sells packages with overnight stays at hotels in Pakse.

Pandaw products are seven nights on board a cruise boat sailing from Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap in Cambodia, while cruising down the Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers in Myanmar. Six programmes in Myanmar range from nine to 21 days with sightseeing stops along the way.
It has three ships in Myanmar and six ships in Cambodia and Vietnam.
