The NFL’s Dallas Cowboys right tackle La’el Collins was ejected in the fourth quarter for throwing a punch during Sunday’s 27-20 victory over the Washington Football Team.

Dak Prescott was being pushed by Washington defensive end William Bradley-King near the sideline as the quarterback was attempting a throw, and Collins let him know that he was not pleased. Ezekiel Elliott did the same, but Collins bullied Bradley-King and eventually punched him.

The Dallas Cowboys have now had two players ejected from games in the last three games. In the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, cornerback Kelvin Joseph was ejected after a dustup following a punt.

The Cowboys were criticized for not standing up for the NFL’s Andy Dalton a year ago at FedEx Field, who was hit by Washington linebacker Jon Bostic who hit him as he was sliding to the ground. As a result, Bostic was ejected from the game but no offensive player stepped up to defend Dalton.

After undergoing hip surgery last year, Collins made sure Prescott didn’t suffer the same fate.

Tyron Smith, the left tackle, was already sidelined due to an ankle injury. Nsekhe will replace Smith at left tackle since Steele will start at right tackle for Collins.

The injury to Smith’s left ankle sidelined him for three games earlier this season.
