DENMARK – A Danish mom has been stabbed and killed by her 15 year old teenage daughter and her 28 year old Iraqi boyfriend after the pair repeatedly watched videos of brutal Islamic State murders.

Lisa Borch was 15 when she carried out the murder with her 28-year-old boyfriend, Mohammed Bakhtiar Abdullah, because they were angry at her mother’s attempts to end their relationship.

Videos of Isis be-headings were found to have been watched numerous times on Abdullah’s laptop in the days leading up to the stabbing, along with internet searches for “what happens after parents have died”.

The court in Hjorring, a town on the northern tip of the Jutland, heard that both defendants used the computer. Borch had keys to Abdullah’s apartment and shared the laptop. “This was a murder committed against a defenseless victim, who was asleep in her home,” said Karina Skou, the prosecutor.

Borch, now 16, has been jailed for nine years. The first year will be spent in a young offenders’ institute. Abdullah has been jailed for 13 years, and an order has been given for him to be deported back to Iraq at the end of his sentence.

Police found Ernestine Romer Holtegaard, 40, dead from almost 20 stab wounds on October 6 last year after receiving a frantic phone call from Borch, the court heard.

“Please hurry, please hurry. There is blood everywhere. There is blood all over the place,” the weeping girl told the emergency services in a recording played to the court.

During the 15-minute call, Borch claimed that she had seen a white man running away through the garden after hearing noises upstairs at their rural house in Kvissel.

After the teenager told the operator that her mother was unconscious, she was guided through the procedure for resuscitation, and apparently went along with the instructions. Police told the court that they did not believe that she was even in the same room at the time.

When the first officers arrived at the house, their suspicions were immediately aroused when they found Borch calmly sitting downstairs looking at her phone. When they asked where her mother was, she pointed upstairs.

Although she claimed to have been alone in the house, the police found fingerprints from her boyfriend in the mother’s bedroom and later a spot of Ms Holtegaard’s blood on his shirt.

Phone records showed that Borch called a taxi, believed to be for Abdullah, a minute before phoning the emergency services.

Forensic analysis later showed that Ms Holtegaard had a high level of sleeping pills in her bloodstream which Borch is believed to have slipped her during the evening.

During the case, Borch and Abdullah blamed each other for carrying out the stabbing.

As part of her sentence, Borch lost the right to any inheritance from her mother
