Thirty-One Passengers Injured After Passenger Bus Crashes in Northeastern Thailand
ISAN – Thirty-one passengers were injured when an inter-provincial bus traveling from Northeastern Thailand to Rayong in Eastern Thailand ran off the road in Nakhon Ratchasima Province in the early hours of Wednesday.
The bus, carrying 44 passengers, ran off the Mittaphab Highway into the center dividing ditch and overturned in tambon Don Chomphu around 2.40am, the Hook 31 rescue team reported.
Emergency response teams helped the passengers out of the bus. A total of 31 passengers sustained injuries, two of them were in a serious condition. They were rushed to Nong Sung Hospital.
Police believed the driver dozed off behind the wheel. They were investigating.
