33 Year-Old Australian Body Builder Found Dead in Chiang Mai Hotel Room

CHIANG MAI – Police in Chiang Mai are investigating the death of a  33-year-old Australian man was found dead on April 17 in a Chang Mai hotel room at around 4 p.m.

Thai language media named the deceased man as Mr. Daniel (Danny) Thomas Janse from Australia.

Chiang Mai Police say there was no sign of a struggle in the room and suspect the man may have died of an alleged drug overdose. Mr. Janse’s body was sent to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.

Thai netizens on social media responded to the news of the dead foreigner in a hotel room by mostly asking which hotel so as to avoid the deceased’s ghost.
