Young Ambassador of Virtue Grants 5 Scholarships, Worth 5,000 Baht Each to Chiang Kong Primary School

CHIANG RAI – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs granted five scholarships, worth 5,000 baht each, for students who have good behaviors and skills in foreign languages such as English and Chinese.
The scholarships were provided on occasion of his visit to Chiang Kong Primary School in Chiang Rai province, viewed as the first public school to have recruited the Young Ambassador of Virtue since 2001.
Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai said a primary role of the Young Ambassador of Virtue is to raise benefits to society and the country by adopting consciousness, a volunteer’s mind and well-rounded experiences.
Practicing a foreign language on constant basis will also be an effective tool by which one can communicate with the international community, he said.
The Young Ambassador of Virtue program imparts knowledge and morality to youths in accordance with a royal guidance toward the loving of their homeland and understanding of neighboring countries so they will become ASEAN youths by the end of this year and good adolescents who will do good deeds for the international community and Thai society in the future.
