Due to the occurrence of summer storms in the upper regions of the country, the public has been advised to keep their distance from large trees, billboards and buildings that appear structurally unsound during times of strong wind.

The Department of  Disaster Prevention and Mitigation revealed today that more than 10,000 homes have been damaged by summer storms since April.

It said over 10,000 houses in 112 districts of 30 provinces in the North, Northeast and East  have been damaged so far by summer and hail storms.

Ministry of Public Health reported six hospitals in four provinces have been damaged by the summer storms.

High pressure system from China has been forecast to weaken, while winds are still expected from China’s southeast and west, blowing into Thailand’s northern, northeastern, central and eastern regions.
