MAE SAI – Col. Songkrit Ontrakrai, chief of Mae Sai Police Station, said Monday they may call off their efforts in searching for a man of asian decent who disapeared 10 days ago, after going into caves to meditate.

Pavinee Mayer, a vendor near the cave told police she saw the asian looking man head to Khun Nam Nang Non forest park on August 12th after telling her in Thai that he wanted to meditate in one of its many caves for several days.

He never returned to retrieve the bicycle he left at her stall, Pavinee said.
