Chiang Rai Students Wins Medal for Robots at International Robotic Olympiad in Hong Kong

CHIANG RAI – Eight teams of Thai students won prizes at the recent International Robotic Olympiad 2018 in Hong Kong. Four other Thai students won silver medals at the 29th International Biology Olympiad in Tehran.

The eight teams are from various schools in Nakhon Nayok, Kho Kaen, Chachoengsao, Chiang Rai, Yasothon, Chiang Mai and Roi Et. A team from Wat Phrammani School in Nakhon Nayok came first in the creativity category.

Two of the eight teams won in two categories—the team from Chachoengsao won the triathlon robot relay and robot ladder climbing categories, and the team from Chiang Rai won the breaststroke swimming robot and robot horse relay categories.

The four Thai high schoolers who won the 29th International Biology Olympiad are Nirawit Chaowanachinda from Debsiri Shool, Thitiwat Atsawaphalakorn from Triam Udom Suksa School, Paris Nilthalak and Ruchirada Wirochananuwat from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School.
