CHIANG RAI – The Provincial Land Transport Office has prepared extra buses during the Songkran holiday and assured there will be no stranded passengers at bus stations.

Chiang Rai Provincial Land Transport Official Satawan Manokrueang said Chiang Rai province expects to see a high traffic volume during the Songkran holiday, as many people will be traveling to their hometown and to Chiang Rai as a holiday destination.

To cope with the increasing demands, Chiang Rai Provincial Land Transport Office has prepared extra buses to increase frequencies on scheduled passenger services, increasing the capacity to accommodate all passengers without leaving any persons stranded at the bus stations.

Many people are expected to return to their hometown from 10 April 2018, and make return travels during 15-16 April 2018.

Passengers experiencing any unsafe behaviors of a bus driver such as signs of intoxication, speeding, or a poor condition of the vehicle used, can report to Hotline 1584 around the clock.
