Chiang Rai Hospital to Provide Medical Services at Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) During Songkran
CHIANG RAI – Chiang Rai Hospital personnel have dressed in traditional clothing for a mobile medical station set up at Wat Rong Khun.
Designer of Wat Rong Khun, Chalermchai Kositpipat, and Director of Chiangrai Regional Hospital Dr Chaiwet Thanapaisan chaired the opening of a medical service station for tourists visiting Wat Rong Khun. The station provides basic medical services and will be open until April 16th.
For the opening ceremony, Dr Chaiwet and the medical team took part in a Songkran parade and showcased a traditional Lanna dance, to the delight of nearby tourists.
Meanwhile, Chiang Rai, immigration officers working at the Mae Sai-Tachileik border checkpoint are wearing traditional Thai clothes to help create a celebratory atmosphere. Immigration officers in Chiang Rai meanwhile, have met with their Myanmar counterparts on measures to facilitate the access of tourists.
