Army Officers Trained on Anti-Drug Trafficking, Protecting Communities from Narcotics

 

CHIANG RAI – The Royal Thai Army has organized anti-narcotic drugs training for army officers in an effort to solve the problem of drug trafficking in a sustainable manner.

On Wednesday, the deputy chief of the personnel division of the army’s drug prevention department, Maj. Gen. Manatchai Siprachan, presided over the training and seminar for unit commanders and officers from anti-drug administrative sections. The training and seminar are taking place from 11-13 July.

The participants will learn about the current drug trafficking situation so that they will understand have a better understanding of the problem. They will also learn about anti-drug organizations in Thailand and other countries.

The participants are expected to use the knowledge that they will gain from the event to organize activities and regulate the anti-drug operations of their subordinates.

They are expected to play an important role in sustainability protecting military communities from narcotic drugs.
