(CTN News) – Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has recently announced its plans to introduce a new feature that will enable users to share music audio while on a video call, as reported by WhatsApp WaBetaInfo.
This update has been submitted through the TestFlight beta Program, elevating the version to 184.108.40.206.
Although the feature is still in the development phase and not yet ready for beta testers, it holds great potential. Once launched, this upcoming feature will allow all participants on the call to listen to video and music audio simultaneously when someone shares their screen.
This will create an immersive and shared audio-visual experience for everyone involved.
By enabling this WhatsApp feature, users will have the ability to share the audio playing on their device with others on the call. However, it’s important to note that this feature is not compatible with voice calls or video calls where the video is disabled.
According to WhatsApp WaBetaInfo, the addition of real-time video and music audio sharing during a screen-sharing session adds a dynamic element to video calls, enhancing the interactive nature of virtual gatherings.
This feature will provide WhatsApp users with a sense of connection and enjoyment while engaging in video calls with their friends and family, thanks to the screen-share option. It is currently being developed and will be included in a future update of the app.
