Google Clock Update Allow Users To Snooze And Stop Alarms More Easily
(CTN NEWS) – The Google Clock app is receiving yet another upgrade, making it simpler to turn off your alarm. The most recent update, version 7.4, is improving various UI components.
Slides to sleep or to stop the alarm have been replaced by buttons in Google Clock 7.4. The update also alters the timer area, giving it a cleaner appearance and a larger button to start and end the timer.
Artem Russakovskii posted the first notification of the new version on Twitter, noting that it eliminated the swiping gesture and replaced it with button pushes for stopping and dismissing alarms.
The tweet below shows the new UI layout, with the snooze button on the left and the stop button on the right as separate buttons. You only need to hit one of the buttons to initiate the associated command when the alarm sounds.
Unfortunately, some users are complaining that they couldn’t see this on their app version; this could be because of another phone option, particularly an accessibility setting.
We tried a few different things when we tested the update, but we could not get the new snooze and stop buttons show. For the time being, we’ll keep an eye on this and let you know if anything changes.
The Google Clock 7.4 update supposedly also alters the timer’s appearance that can be found inside the app, in addition to the new UI for the alarm.

Samson, a Twitter user, noticed the change and tweeted a screenshot of the updated user interface showing how the expiring time is now encompassed in a circle.
The controls for adding a minute and stopping the timer have also been resized and centered, and the timer count has been moved to the upper left-hand corner.
Although most of these minor adjustments could have a significant effect if you frequently use the alarm and timer.
Of course, everyone has their tastes, but compared to the previous method, when you had to swipe in a specific direction, this is a more straightforward technique.
