Stone Cold

WWE Hall of Famer and former 6-time World Heavyweight Champion ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has been making headlines ever since reports surfaced that he will make a comeback. The former six-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion wrestled inside the WWE ring for the last time at WrestleMania 19 in March 2003 and according to PW Insider, WWE has reached out to him for a match at WrestleMania 38, scheduled for April of this year.

Since WrestleMania is being held in Dallas, Texas, where the Hall of Famer was born, speculations about him attending the event have increased. In the past, the WWE legend’s home state has done wonders for the company, and his presence at WrestleMania 38 will boost attendance for the pay-per-view event.

What has been said about Stone Cold Steve Austin’s in-ring return?

WWE reportedly approached Austin back in December/January, however, Stone Cold has yet to confirm his interest in returning to the ring. Since his retirement from WWE in 2003, Austin has appeared in WWE many times, but he hasn’t fought anyone in a match. In addition, Sportzwiki’s report also stated that a WWE source had explained the company’s plans for the Hall of Famer. “WWE has taken a significant step towards bringing back one of the biggest draws in WWE history, Stone Cold Steve Austin, at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas. Stone Cold has not wrestled for 19 years. His last match was at WrestleMania 19. Many WWE Superstars have tried to entice Austin out of retirement, but he has not been able to do so,” the source said.

WrestleMania 38’s match-card so far-

As Brock Lesnar expressed he would fight Roman Reigns for the universal championship title following his win in the Royal Rumble match, the match card for WrestleMania 38 will be building up at WWE’s upcoming PPV event, the Elimination Chamber 2022. Lesnar will face Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles, Riddle, and Stone Cold Theory in the Elimination Chamber match, with Lashley’s WWE championship on the line. The Women’s Elimination Chamber match between Rhea Ripley, Dewdrop, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Nikki A.S.H, and Alexa Bliss will determine who will compete for the Raw women’s championship title at WrestleMania 38.
