Von Miller Out Indefinitely After Knee Injury Against Lions, Avoids ACL Tear, Reports Say

(CTN News) – The Buffalo Bills defense did not have one of Von Miller’s most valuable players in the lineup for their Thanksgiving matchup against the Detroit Lions because one of their most valuable players was absent.

Von Miller, who is the team’s top pass rusher, was carted to the locker room after sustaining a knee injury in the first half of the game.

The team has ruled him out for the remainder of the game as a result of the injury. The Bills won the game 28-25 as a result of this result, and they were able to take home the victory.

According to ESPN, Von Miller did not tear his ACL; however, the severity of the injury is such that he will be out indefinitely as a result of it.

According to reports, Miller, who is suffering from the same knee injury that he sustained two years ago, will wait two weeks before deciding how to proceed with his recovery from the injury.

CBS Sports NFL Insider Josina Anderson told CBS Sports that Miller was initially diagnosed with a sprained knee. She also would undergo an MRI and MRIs on Friday as a result of the injury.

As the second quarter came to an end, Von Miller was injured just under three minutes into the game. In an attempt to rush quarterback Jared Goff, he took an inside route on the right side of the field, planting awkwardly with his right knee.

Von Miller was able to walk off the field on his own, but he spent an inordinate amount of time in the blue medical tent. He was then carried into the locker room before the halftime break.

He was ruled out for the remainder of the game due to his injury.

As of this week, the 33-year-old has recorded 20 combined tackles, 11 hits on the quarterback, eight sacks, two passes defensed, and one forced fumble in 10 games that he has played.

During the course of his activities on Thursday, he managed to record two tackles and a QB hit before suffering an injury.

The fact that Von Miller is one of the premier defensive players in the Bills’ lineup as well as the fact that Buffalo is very shorthanded at pass rushers makes this a notable injury not only for Miller, but also for Buffalo.

A.J. Epenesa and Greg Rousseau were not able to dress for this week’s game due to ankle injuries.

What happen to Von Miller?

Bills linebacker Von Miller suffered a knee injury in Thursday’s 28-25 win over the Lions and was ruled out after he was carted to the locker room. The initial diagnosis on Miller’s injury is a knee sprain, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
