Thai Spikers Lose To USA In FIVB Nations League Week 2 final

(CTN News) – The FIVB Nations League was held in Quezon City in the Philippines on Sunday, where Pornpun Guedpard scored a point against the USA.

On Sunday, Thai spikers lost yet another match in the second week of the tournament to the USA volleyball team.

Thailand won the first set 25-17 but lost the next three 13-25, 23-25, 18-25 to the world’s No.1 team. An FIVB Nations League tournament taking place in Quezon City, Philippines, is also being led by the USA.

At the end of the round-robin tournament, the Thai team finished eighth.

As a result of eight of the players testing positive for Covid-19 during the competition, Thailand were severely weakened.

Their first win came against Canada, but they then lost to Poland and Japan before facing the United States.

From June 28 to July 3, Thailand will compete in Week 3, the final pool stage, alongside Italy, China, Poland, Brazil, South Korea, the Dominican Republic, and Bulgaria.

During the week of July 13-17, the top eight teams will compete in the finals in the Turkish capital Ankara.
