Highlights Of Pakistan vs New Zealand's First T20 Match: 88 Runs Won By Pakistan

(CTN News) – A New Zealand team has been touring Pakistan as part of their preparations for the World Cup. It is expected that this tour will begin tomorrow (14 April) and end on 7 May.

A total of five ODIs and five T20s will be played between the teams. A first match of the five-match T20 series was played today at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan, in the first game of the series.

It was Babar Azam who was leading the team in the absence of Kane Williamson, while Tom Latham was leading the New Zealand team in the absence of Kane Williamson.

After winning the toss, Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam decided that he would bat first after winning the match. A total of 182 runs were scored by the team in 19.5 overs, but they lost 10 wickets along the way.

Even though start was not particularly remarkable, both Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, the team’s first two players, were both removed during the power play at the end of the first half.

Throughout the course of the innings, both Fakhar Zaman as well as Saim Ayub contributed 47-47 runs.

Trying to chase down the 182-run target, the New Zealand team got all out for just 94 runs in 15.3 overs, so they came up short of the target. For New Zealand, Mark Chapman is the player who made the most runs in the innings, scoring 34 runs.

A total of four wickets were taken by Haris Rawf for 17 runs in 3.3 overs to help win the match. Imad Wasim picked up two wickets for the team, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zaman Khan, Faheem Ashraf, and Shadab Khan each got one wicket.
