In Grand Theft Auto 5, players will have three detailed graphics settings to choose from on next-generation consoles:

- Performance RT: A hybrid of Fidelity and Performance modes, supports upscaled 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled, and targets 60 FPS, only available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The remaster also includes a number of improvements to the actual game. GTA 5 adds faster loading times, more traffic variety, increased vegetative density, improved lighting across shadows, water reflections, improved anti-aliasing, motion blur, highly detailed explosions, fire, and much more to next-generation consoles.
Players of GTA 5 on PS5 also get haptic feedback and dynamic resistance from the DualSense controller. Players will be able to experience weather effects, directional damage, rough road surfaces, and explosions. Additionally, GTA 5 will include Tempest 3D positional audio on PS5 and Spatial Sound on Xbox Series X.
