Capcom Announces ‘Street Fighter 6‘: The Capcom, the developer of popular video games such as Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, has recently announced a new Street Fighter game. Capcom USA recently uploaded a teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6 on its YouTube channel. Although a release date has not been announced yet, fans of the franchise will be eagerly awaiting this game.
The Street Fighter franchise is among the oldest. Street Fighter will celebrate its 35th anniversary in August. After Daigo Umehara was defeated by Kawano in the Capcom Pro Tour season finale, the trailer was released. More than 1,70,000 people have watched the trailer on YouTube in less than 24 hours since it was uploaded.
Street Fighter 6 trailer looks promising
In the trailer, Capcom shows off a showdown between the popular characters Ryu and Luke. Ryu’s hands and fist are close-ups in the trailer. Ryu’s gloves and forearms have some interesting details. By focusing on the light reflecting off Ryu’s chest muscles in the next shot, the developers showcase Street Fighter 6’s graphics. Next, Luke is introduced. Street Fighter 6 looks like it will have improved graphics and textures. An image of the game’s logo appears at the end of the trailer with a note indicating that the footage is from a game that is still in development.
More information about the game will be revealed this summer, according to Capcom. Street Fighter 5 suffered from multiple bugs and had server problems back in 2016; the developer should expect a better response than that. According to speculation, the game will be released on PlayStation 5 since it has been over a year since the console was released. A compilation of Capcom’s fighting games for PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 has also been announced, titled the Capcom Fighting Collection, which will be released on June 24, 2022.
