Based on death rates, the Coronavirus isn’t the country’s biggest public health problem, road accidents are. The Public Health Ministry reported on Monday that 2,927 new Coronavirus-19 cases and 18 deaths were recorded during the previous 24 hours.
According to the World Health Organization, Thailand’s roads are the deadliest in Southeast Asia and among the most dangerous in the world.
There is also no sign of a reduction in road casualties, despite a number of government initiatives.
