A 19-year-old victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the hospital. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
According to the police, the victim was hanging around the parking lot when a group of unidentified individuals approached him and opened fire on him.

The incident happened around the time students would have been getting out of school. Some concerned parents of students who go to the nearby Hempstead High School say it is a tradition for students to go to McDonald’s after they get out of class.
Hempstead parent Unique Redd said, “It should be a safe place for our kids to have food after school and to go home, after they walk home from school.
This is a place that they come to get food after school and to go home,” he said. The number of guns on the street is too high.
