(CTN News) – After Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential contest, Donald Trump took to Twitter to vent his frustrations and seek reimbursement for the funds he had used to campaign against the president.
Trump said in his conspiracy-filled tirade that Democrats stole the presidential primaries from him, the president never had COVID, and he is not in charge of the nation.
He also gave his supposed new rival the moniker “Lyin’ Kamala Harris.” After Biden withdrew, Democrats quickly united around Harris and started endorsing her as the front-runner for the presidency.
Trump expressed his displeasure with the Democrats on Biden
On social media, Trump expressed his displeasure with the Democrats’ turnabout, claiming that his campaign must “start all over.” “So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden, he polls badly after having a terrible debate, and quits the race,” Trump said.
Since everyone in Joe’s immediate vicinity—including his physicians and the fake news media—knew he was incapable of running for or winning the presidency, shouldn’t the Republican Party be held accountable for their deception? Just curious.”
Shortly after releasing a letter on Sunday stating that he believed dropping his reelection campaign was in the best interests of both his party and the nation, Biden backed the vice president. By Monday night, Harris had gathered the requisite number of delegates’ votes to emerge as the Democratic candidate for 2024.
The following day, Trump changed his strategy and began criticizing the vice president, especially on immigration. Harris was chosen by Biden to head the administration’s 2021 response to border issues.

In addition to pulling back from his commitment to a second presidential debate since Harris announced her candidacy on Sunday, Trump has also withdrawn from his commitment.
As part of his Truth Social post on Sunday evening, he suggested that Fox News host the debate instead of ABC News, where Biden was to debate him on Sept. 10.
