FOX News Reporter Benjamin Hall Hospitalized After Being Injured In Ukraine
Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall has been injured while reporting in the area near Kyiv, Ukraine, according to a memo from Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott sent to staff members.
Currently, we have a limited amount of information, but Ben is hospitalized and our teams on the ground are working hard to gather as much information as possible as soon as the situation unfolds,” Scott stated.
Fox News correspondent for the State Department, Benjamin Hall, has been attending events in and around Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv for the past week. Based in Washington, he has been with Fox since 2015. Most recently, he appeared on-air over the weekend.
“The safety of our entire team of journalists in Ukraine and the surrounding region is of the utmost importance to us,” Scott continued. “This is a stark reminder for all journalists who risk their lives every day to bring you news from war zones.”
John Roberts, the anchor of Fox News for Monday afternoon, also addressed Hall’s injury on-air, reading Scott’s statement.
“We will provide updates as we find out more,” Scott stated. “Please keep Ben and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
As part of his statement, State Department Correspondents Association president Shaun Tandon also spoke about Hall on Monday.
“We are horrified to hear that our colleague, Benjamin Hall, was injured while covering the Ukraine war,” Tandon, who works for Agence France-Presse, said. “We know Ben for his warmth, good humor, and his professionalism at the highest level. We wish Ben a quick recovery and call for utmost efforts to protect journalists who are providing an invaluable service through their coverage in Ukraine.”
