Woman Arrested After Her 2 Children Found Dead in Suitcases
Police in South Korea have arrested a 42-year-old woman on murder charges after her two children’s remains were found in suitcases in New Zealand last month.
The woman is suspected of fleeing New Zealand to South Korea in 2018 after allegedly murdering her 7 and 10-year-old children in Auckland.
As she was escorted from an Ulsan police station, she yelled at reporters, “I did not do it.”
The Ministry of Justice said New Zealand must formally request extradition of the suspect within 45 days for a South Korean court to consider whether to send her back.
