After the billionaire’s assets were frozen, the Premier League football club returned to action on Thursday.

Despite the upbeat tone, there is a feeling of dread about what will happen in the coming weeks.

In response to Russian aggression in Ukraine, Britain targeted seven oligarchs, including Abramovich. They were all described as being part of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.
