BOI Fair 2011” is the third fair of BOI, which will be held during January 5-20, 2012

Thailand’s largest exhibition fair organized by the Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) is now revitalized to show the country’s investment potentials on sustainable development.

BOI Fair 2011” is the third fair of BOI, which will be held during January 5-20, 2012 at the Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2011.

Set under the theme of “Going Green for the Future”, the fair reflects BOI’s focus on promoting investment for sustainable development in line with the King’s Sufficiency Economy philosophy.

The event aims to demonstrate the achievements and the potentials of Thai industry while showcase new technologies and innovations, which will enhance the industry’s efficiency and its competitiveness. Significant environment-friendly production methods will also be highlighted to encourage the industry as a whole to coexist comfortably and productively with Thai society and the country’s natural environment.

“BOI Fair 2011” is a place where the state-of-the-art technologies from leading Thai and international companies are exhibited. Moreover, it’s also a stage to allow industries in all sectors to publicize their social and environmental responsibilities while creating business networking, which, in return, will help stimulate Thailand’s economy, boost up investors’ confidences, and enhance the country’s investment image.

Concept

The fair’s main concept of “Going Green for the Future” will go in line with the national development policy, which aims at the growth and the improvement of Thailand’s economy, society and environment by building the country’s sustainability upon the Sufficiency Economy philosophy.

The landmark is designed to express the tireless efforts of H.M. the King on his endless works to leverage the quality of life to Thai people. Located on the lake, the landmark symbolizes a “drop of water”, that refers to the sweat of the King during conducting his exhausting and arduous works in every part of the country.

Royal Pavilion, which is the most highlight exhibition of the fair, will be established close to the landmark to show the excellence of the king, his royal activities as well as a variety of royal initiatives from the Royal Family.

Exhibition Area

“BOI Fair 2011” encompasses both outdoor and indoor areas on totally 240,000 square metres.

  • Outdoor Area covers 166,000 square metres of space beside the Muang Thong Thani Lake. The area resides Royal Pavilion, Thailand Pavilion, BOI Pavilion and 84 outdoor pavilions, in reference to H.M. the King’s 84th birthday anniversary in 2011, as well as areas for entertainment and performances. Each pavilion acquires 500 square-metre spaces to exhibit the latest technology and innovation from Thai and international companies.
  • Indoor Area is divided into two parts.
    • – Hall 9 occupies around 11,000 square metres. It includes seminar facilities and meeting rooms for Honorary Investment Advisor (HIA) General Meeting, CEO Forum and seminars in over 200 topics. “TechnoMart InnoMart 2011”, the country’s technology and innovation exhibition organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, will be also exhibited in the area.
  • – Challenger Hall (Hall 1 – 3) encompasses a total area of 60,000 square metres. The space will be used to display and sell products from many different industries, including agriculture, food, beverages, fashion, gems, electronics and electrical devices and software. High-quality, economically-priced consumer goods, utensils, and home decorator items will be displayed and sold.

BOI Fair 2011” is the country’s largest exhibition in the decade. Under a vision on sustainable development, it’s hoped that the event will encourage the creation of “green branding” and “green commitment” among industrial sectors to drive Thailand towards the sustainability in the future.
