Police Hunt for Tuk Tuk Driver Accused of Raping 23 Year-Old Australian Woman in Bangkok

BANGKOK – Metro police in Bangkok are hunting for a tuk-tuk driver and his friend who allegedly raped a 23-year-old Australian woman near a deserted building in the Taling Chan area od Bangkok.

The young woman filed a complaint with Taling Chan police station, accusing the unnamed driver of a tuk-tuk and his compatriot of sexually assaulting her near the deserted Watchajak building on Soi Boromratchonnanee 43 in Taling Chan district around 4am on Dec 5,  Khaosod Online reported on Friday.

Police and investigators from the Metropolitan Police Division 7 have begun an intensive search for the two men.

People living in the  vicinity of the assault were being questioned and  closed-circuit television camera footage examined for evidence, the report said.
