BANGKOK – Hollywood Actor and Director Steven Segal paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha at the Government House Tuesday morning during his visit to Thailand to pay tribute to the late King Bhumibol.

The 64-year-old star said he adored His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, saying the King had continually devoted himself to the country, he was a great King who had done a lot for Thailand and its people.

Seagal, who mastered martial arts and whose outstanding fighting style separated him from other action stars, said Thailand was amazing with its culture and martial arts.
Seagal also discussed with the Prime Minister his plan to film an action movie in Thailand, which will portray various aspects of Thai culture, such as traditional Thai dancing and Muay Thai. Saying films shot in Thailand could promote the country’s image and boost its film industry, economy and tourism, which matched with the assembly’s national reform plan.
Seagal has made several visits to Thailand  and disclosed that he would shoot an action movie in Thailand next year which would also feature Thai cultures such as Thai boxing and Thai classical dance as well as other aspects of Thailand.
