Heavily Laden Freight Truck Crashes Killing Three in Eastern Thailand

BANGKOK –  Three people have been killed and six others injured when a trailer truck careered out of control into seven other vehicles on a narrow downhill road in Ta Phraya district of Sa Kaeo Province in eastern Thailand on Tuesday morning.

Police reported that a white Hino truck, registered in Khon Kaen province, was loaded with bags of salt.

The fully laden truck crashed into seven oncoming vehicles, Killing 3 people including an asphalt paver for the Highways Department, and then caught fire.

The driver said the “brakes failed” as it was descending from Khao Chong Tako mountain. The Dead and injured were taken to Ta Phraya Hospital.
