Bus Driver Killed in Ayutthaya after Collision with Chicken Truck

AYUTTHAYA – The driver of a company shuttle bus has been killed after he slammed into a truck carrying live chickens in Ayutthaya’s Wang Noi district on Friday morning 10 passengers were also injured.

Pol Lt Sinsawat Phonchalieo, duty officer at Wang Noi police station said the crash occurred in tambon Lai Sai at about 6am.

The bus, carrying 40 workers was travelling behind a 18-wheel trailer truck that suddenly turned left to enter a factory.

Pol Lt Sinsawat Phonchalieo said shuttle bus driver swiftly veered around the slowing truck and ran into a 6-wheeler loaded with live chickens that was travelling in front of it.

The crash killed the bus driver, 37 year old Phitsanu Poolsombatand and also injured 10 passengers, who were taken to a nearby hospital.

Police said question the drivers of the chicken truck about the accident.
