Established in 1917, this university is located in the urban part of Bangkok (with over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Also accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand, CU welcomes 35,000 to 39,999 students yearly, and offers courses and programs leading to bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorates in several areas of study. During the admission process, CU will take into account entrance examinations and students’ past academic record and grades.

  1. Prince of Songkla University

Located in the small city of Hat Yai, Songkhla (50,000 to 249,999 residents), Prince of Songkla University (est. 1967) also has branch campuses in Phuket, and has been accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand. PSU welcomes 30,000 to 34,999 students yearly, and offers courses and programs leading to degrees like pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation degrees), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorates in several areas of study. The admission rate ranges from 60% to 70%, making it one of the most prestigious universities in Thailand.

  1. Mahidol University

Mahidol University (est. 1888) is located in the urban part of Nakhon Pathom (with 50,000-249,999 residents). MU annually welcomes 25,000-29,999 students, and offers courses and programs leading to pre-bachelor degrees, bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorates in several areas of study.

  1. Naresuan University

Located in Phitsanulok (with 50,000-249,999 residents), Naresuan University (est. 1969) is another officially accredited and/or recognized institution by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand. NU offers various courses and degree programs for both local and international students.

  1. Kasetsart University

Located in the suburbs of Bangkok, Kasetsart University (est. 1943) is another prestigious institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Thailand. KU welcomes over 45,000 students (local and international) annually, and offers courses and various degree programs in several areas of study. The university will take into account entrance exams and past student grades and scores during the admissions process.

  1. Khon Kaen University

Located in the small city of Khon Kaen (with a population of 50,000 to 249,999), Khon Kaen University (est. 1964) is a popular institution that draws attention from locals. In fact, this institution also has branch campuses in Nong Khai, and is also recognized as an accredited school. KKU welcomes annually 40,000-44,999 students (local and international), and offers various courses and degree programs. The admission rate ranges up to 10%, making it one of the most prestigious and elite institutions in Thailand. The admissions process will look at entrance exams, as well as students’ past academic record and grades.
