New Study Finds e-Cigarettes Linked to Erectile Dysfunction
According to a study conducted by the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health, among 13,711 men in the United States between 2016-2018, those who use e-cigarettes are 2.5 times more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction than nonsmokers.
According to the study, nicotine and other chemicals found in e-cigarette liquids adversely affect testosterone, the male sex hormone.
Dr Prakit Vathesatogkit, president of the Action of Smoking and Health Foundation, said a study conducted in Australia found people who smoke one pack of cigarettes a day face a 40% increased risk of erectile dysfunction.
She also reminds vapers that Thailand’s laws stipulate that importers of e-cigarette devices can face up to ten years in prison. Vendors selling e-cigarette liquids may be imprisoned for up to five years or fined up to 500,000 baht.

The term erectile dysfunction (impotence) refers to a condition where an individual is unable to get and keep a firm erection.
Sometimes having erection trouble isn’t a cause for concern. Nonetheless, erectile dysfunction can affect relationships negatively if it is a persistent problem.
Having problems maintaining or getting an erection can also indicate an underlying health condition that needs to be treated. It is also linked to heart disease risk.
Talk to your doctor if you have concerns about erectile dysfunction, even if you’re embarrassed. Erectile dysfunction can sometimes be reversed by treating underlying conditions. Medication or some other form of direct treatment may be necessary for other instances.
