Super Junior M Sing for Fight Against Human Trafficking

Pop sensation Asia Super Junior M have joined the fight against human trafficking in a concert for thousands of screaming fans in northern Thailand.
Six stars of the hit band from South Korea and the Chinese children performed favorites like “Super Girl” at the concert on Saturday night to raise awareness and increase prevention of this global scourge.
Organizers MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) estimates that 20,000 young people – many adorned with ponchos and waving flags of their heart beats – attended despite the bad weather.
“We are thrilled to perform for a crowd so big,” said the subgroup of Super Junior, the group has taken Asia by storm in the forefront of Korean or “K-pop” hobby.
“We are excited to join the MTV EXIT campaign to inspire young people across Asia to join the fight against trafficking in human beings.”

Illegal trade is the second largest in the world after drugs, believed to generate billions of dollars in annual profits through buying and selling of human beings.
Many of the victims – especially women attracted by the prospect of finding a legal job abroad – end up as prostitutes in the region’s famous red-light areas.
Thailand is said to be a point of origin, destination and transit for trafficking, with ethnic minorities and citizens of neighboring countries at particular risk of sexual abuse or forced labor.
