What is the plot of Yellowstone Season 5?
We don’t know what the central storyline of the show’s fifth season will be. Cole Hauser admitted, “the way that Season 4 ends, the audience will be happily surprised with a lot of things.” This suggests that Season 4’s ending will not be as dramatic as Season 3’s, which left several Dutton family members in the air and couldn’t be called a happy surprise.
It raises the question of what will happen in the race for governor, in which John and Jamie are currently competing. The Duttons may not win the election and the new governor may be a new, or existing, foe. A happy surprise might also mean John reconciles with Jamie after his surprise announcement made fans feel sorry for how Jamie has been treated. After notifying the sheriff’s daughter that her father has died, John may reevaluate their relationship.
The fate of Kayce will also be crucial to Season 5, especially if Monica dies, as some fans believe. By undergoing the warrior initiation rites, Kayce is sure to earn the respect of Monica’s family, and they may find comfort in one another as they mourn her passing. Kayce’s worldview and his values will undoubtedly change as a result.
