Vikings Valhalla premiered on Netflix this week and is a sequel to the popular historical drama Vikings, which ran from 2013 to 2020. Is Vikings Valhalla a sequel to Vikings?

In Vikings Valhalla, the show Vikings that ran from 2013 to 2020 will be continued. As the show opens, tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and at the same time, the Vikings themselves struggle to reconcile Christian and Pagan beliefs.

Leif Erikson (Sam Corlett), Freyd*s Eir*ksdóttir (Freyd*s Eir*ksdóttir) and Harald Hardrada (Leo Suter) set out on an epic journey that will take them from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory. Vikings Valhalla depicts the end of the Viking Age, which will be marked by the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.
