Prataap Jai is proud to present the works of returning artist, Josh Gerbault

Prataap Jai is proud to present the works of returning artist, Josh Gerbault, and Chiangrai’s own 16-year-old, Azakawa Kooh.  A semblence of Azakawa’s original japanime and Josh’s ever-expanding “universe” of work, are bound to tantalize the eye, tug at the heart strings and provoke thought – all simultaneously.  Join us on Saturday, June 11th at 7pm for the art exhibition festivities.

Caty Dioguardi and Amber Word

Prataap Jai is the brain child of Caty Dioguardi and Amber Word, two citizens of the world who have fallen deeply in love with the Land of Smiles, have been stricken by the cultural gap, disappointed
by mutual misperceptions and thus driven to provide a space for people to disperse these misperceptions in a peaceful manner through community activity and shared interaction. Prataap Jai has found dialogue to often be the problem, due to language gaps and a shy-to-try mentality. Prataap Jai hopes to ease shyness by focusing interaction not only on language but on bi-lingual activities.

Prataap Jai, where cultures align. Our mission is to provide the opportunity for travelers and residents of the Chiang Rai area to make connections via culture, art, language, dance and other innovative workshops as well as to
provide access to information about nonprofits, volunteer opportunities and other happenings in the surrounding area. Prataap Jai is a dedicated enlightenment agent that provides neutral space and empowers the traveling and
local community to use dialogue and shared experience as a means to shed light on differences.

People are curious about people and Prataap Jai aims to provide a two- way street where real people from one culture can meet real people from another culture and get to know one another through a real shared experience, be it dance, art,
volunteering or simply a cup of tea!
