Variety reports that Godzilla Vs Kong will be filmed in Australia. This movie will also be shot on the Gold Coast, where some of the other films of the Monsterverse, Kong: Skull Island in 2016 and Godzilla vs Kong in 2019 were shot.

It was also likely that the shooting would occur in Southeast Queensland.

According to the Location Incentive Program of the Australian Federal Government, a total of A$16 million ($11.8 million) will go to the movie. Screen Queensland will provide an additional A$6.3 million ($4.66 million) to the makers through its Production Attraction Strategy.

Godzilla vs Kong 2 is anticipated to generate A$119 million ($88 million) for the Australian economy, with over 700 extras and 500 casts and crew employed.
According to Eric McLeod, the ‘highly skilled crews, first-rate facilities, and unique locations’ made the shooting in Australia a ‘great experience’. Support from the Australian government and Queensland was crucial for the crew’s success in achieving a high level of filmmaking and an ‘unparalleled audience experience’.
