Weekend Today’s time with Dylan Dreyer is coming to a close.

Today revealed on Saturday that the 40-year-old meteorologist will no longer appear on the weekend edition of the daytime talk show.

She got a fitting send-off Saturday with a video montage looking back at her time on Weekend Today. Dylan Dreyer has been reporting on weekends for Today for nearly a decade.

Having seen the montage, she said, “You know, I just watched that and looking back – I started in September 2012 and got married in October, so in the time that I have been on Weekend Today, I have got married and had three sons.”

“When I think back to all the experiences I have had over the years and what I have accomplished on the show, I find it truly inspiring,” said Dylan Dreyer.

Even though the fill-in anchor insisted she didn’t want to step away, she acknowledged that “the boys certainly keep me busy. I just can’t do six days a week anymore.”.

With husband Brian Fichera, Dylan Dreyer has three sons: Calvin Bradley, 5; Oliver George, 2; and Russell James, one year old.

According to Dylan Dreyer, when asked by host Morgan Radford how she plans to spend her free Saturdays in the future, “I wish I could wake up at my own pace. Even today, I’ll probably make pancakes for my boys as soon as I’m done here.”

Making time for your family is the most significant thing. This job can get busy, especially while we’re travelling and working, but it’s imperative to prioritize family time.

Having these boys in my life is the happiest part of my weekend and I enjoy doing a lot of things with Brian and having the happiest time,” Dylan Dreyer said. It will really be just me at home, watching those three.” “That’s all I’ll do.”

Following four-month maternity leave, Dylan Dreyer returned to Today recently. “It feels like I haven’t been away,” she told her 3rd Hour co-hosts when she returned to work Monday.

“It just seems like it didn’t take long for four months to pass, and now my kids are home and I’m back at home.”

In an October interview with ‘Know Your Value’ on MSNBC, Dylan Dreyer talked about her fears about returning to work after giving birth to her youngest son.

“If things are getting back to normal when I return, I’m probably planning to travel again. It’s what I’m most worried about – travelling and pumping and being on the road and leaving three children at home,” she said. “I’m a bit scared.”

Fichera helps her “feel better.” She said, “He’s always saying, ‘The lessons you’re teaching our boys by working hard will be a part of them forever.’ He makes me feel better and less guilty about working.”

I want to show the boys that you work hard to get the things you want,” she continued.
