‘Doctor Strange 2’ Trailer Teases Patrick Stewart as Professor X

Doctor Strange 2: On Monday at the Super Bowl 2022, the first full-length trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was unveiled. Following the release of the new trailer for the much-anticipated sequel to Doctor Strange, some eagle-eyed fans sought out cameos from previous Marvel films. As per speculations, the most prominent one was the cameo of Professor X from the X-men franchise, played by Patrick Stewart. Doctor Strange 2 might also introduce Tony Stark’s Illuminati team, as several fans noted.

Doctor Strange 2 trailer confirms cameo of Fox/Marvel character

Online, as with other Marvel movies, a plethora of fan theories has surfaced about possible cameos in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. One popular fan theory suggests that characters from Fox Studios’ X-Men and Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four may appear in the movie. Fox and Marvel characters will appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, according to the trailer.

Sir Patrick Stewart returns as Professor Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. Stewart’s version of the X-Men founder first appeared in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men from 2000. Doctor Strange 2 trailer fans recognized Stewart’s voice right away. Professor X’s head can be seen on the footage, but the rest of him isn’t clearly visible.

Doctor Strange 2 could also feature the debut of the Illuminati, a superpowerful group of superheroes led by their founder, Tony Stark. Meanwhile, one new character has fans wondering whether it is the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four franchise or an alternate version of Tony Stark’s Superior Iron Man. Tom Cruise is rumored to be playing the role of Superior Iron Man.
