ALL ON MY OWN
Take a look at what ‘all on my own’ means and how you can use it in everyday English.
‘All on my own’ can be used when a person is not with anyone else.
I’m here all on my own.
Jen is here all on her own.
John is here all on his own.
I went to the city all on my own.
Jen went to the city all on her own.
John went to the city all on his own.
Another way of saying ‘on my own’ is to say ‘by themselves’.
They came by themselves.
We can also say ‘by myself’ which means to be on my own.
I am shopping by myself.
Jen is shopping by herself.
John is shopping by himself.
