Uzbekistan Madame Arrested in Bangkok on Interpol Red Warrant

BANGKOK – Immigration Police Bureau chief Pol Lt Gen Sompong Chingduang said on Friday that police have arrested a 62 year-old Uzbekistan woman on an Interpol red warrant at at an apartment on Rama IX Road in Bangkok’s Huai Khwang district.

Immigration police captured Sayora Melikova,62 wanted by Interpol for human trafficking upon the request of Uzbekistan.

Immagration Police Bureau Pol Col Kritmongkut said police tracked her whereabouts in Thailand before the arrest was made in Huai Khwang district on Tuesday.

Authorities also found three other Uzbek women in the same room, who admitted during an interrogation that they entered Thailand on a tourist visa and were involved in the sex trade.

Police said their Visa’s would be revoked and they will be deported and blacklisted from Thailand.
