BANGKOK – A Criminal Court in Bangkok has ordered the extradition of Canadian National Matthew Alexander McGowan to the United States to face an alleged murder charge there.

Earlier, prosecutors told the court that Mr McGowan was charged with murder with a gun in Florida in September 2017 the Bangkok Post reported.

The Criminal Court approved the extradition, citing three reasons — the alleged crime carried a jail term of at least one year under Thai law, both countries have their extradition treaty and the statute of limitation of the case has not expired.
