Thai Authorities Deport Militant Ramandeep Singh to India

BANGKOK – Ramandeep Singh alias Goldie, an alleged militant nabbed in Bangkok some days back has been deported to India.
Ramandeep Singh a top Khalistan Tiger Force operative who figures on the most wanted terrorist list in India was caught in Bangkok after a month-long operation.
Goldie was said to have been shuttling between Malaysia and Thailand for some years.
Initial questioning of the suspect revealed that they were trying to revive Babbar Khalsa International and were collecting funds.
Ramandeep was nabbed by Bangkok authorities on a tip-off by Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW).
A team of two Punjab Police personnel camped in Bangkok for some days before Ramandeep was nabbed.
His arrest comes days after arrest of Rattandeep Singh, the de-facto chief of BKI, near the India-Nepal border.
Ramandeep, who heads the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), is a suspect in the July 2009 murder of Rulda Singh, former head of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, a wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and the April 2010 Patiala bomb blast.
Ramandeep may also be questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) over the attack on Lt Gen (retired) K.S. Brar in London in 2012.
Police said Ramandeep was in touch with his mentors in Pakistan and seemed to have provided logistical support to them. They said he also provided infrastructural support to Wadhawa Singh and other BKI members in trying to revive militancy.
