One of Britain’s Most Wanted Arrested in Lamphun
Chiangrai Times – Thai police have arrested a British suspect in an apparent gang-related killing five years ago in London.
Police Col. Prasopchoke Prommoon said Tuesday that a joint British-Thai police team found Robert Dominique Bernard working at an electronics parts factory in Lamphun province, 550 kilometres (340 miles) north of Bangkok. He was arrested Monday.
Bernard is accused of shooting 20-year-old Duane Tomlin to death as he stepped out of a taxi in Enfield, North London, in July 2007.
Police said Bernard left for Thailand on the same day as the shooting and traveled with an Ivory Coast passport.
A Thai court issued an arrest warrant for Bernard in May. He is expected to be extradited to Britain.
Mr Bernard is among Scotland Yard’s most wanted men. His arrest warrant is posted at .
