CHIANG MAI  – Immigration officers in Chiang Mai raided a house in Doi Saket and arrested four South Koreans after receiving tips from Korean police that a Korean gang had provided online sport gambling services in the house.

The officials arrested the head of the gang, Lee Dong Sup, 30, from South Korea, and his three employees, Lee Dong Chon, 23, Lee Chang Ku, 24, and Park Ji Won, 23 Chiang Mai’s CityNews reported.

The officials also seized seven computers, 14 computer screens, and other evidence, money found in their bank accounts was over 10 million baht.

Lee Dong Sup confessed he had hired the three Korean men to take care of the system and they were paid 50,000 baht per month.

He also mentioned that he chose to provide the online gambling service in Thailand as punishment for such a crime was more lenient in Thailand than in South Korea.
